She was born in Barbados and had a childhood filled with reggae. As she started to sing, she turned into an accomplished singer. Evan Rodgers auditioned her and was deeply impressed. She made the move to New York so that she was able to pursue a full-time singing career. Rihanna released her debut album and became an overnight sensation. People of all ages were attracted by her catchy songs that made them tap their feet, and this brought her into the movie industry. Beautiful young and extremely talented her name is today considered an teen idol as well as a model. Rihanna is also involved in donating to charities and making use of her celebrity status to benefit charities.
